Project Coordinator

Role

As Project Coordinator, you will organize and manage project tasks to ensure the successful delivery of custom webtexts. Working closely with members of the Custom Development team, the Project Coordinator keeps each project running smoothly by handling all project-related administrative tasks and communication for the team.

This is a remote eligible position. Currently, the following states have been approved for remote work outside of our headquartered state of North Carolina: CO, GA, IN, MA, NM, NV, NY, OR, RI, SC, TN, TX, and VT.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and monitor all project tasks for custom development projects
  • Facilitate communication among team members about project tasks
  • Report project status on a regular basis to the Director of Custom Development and appropriate internal stakeholders
  • Keep external stakeholders informed about the progress of each project and provide timely responses to their questions, concerns, and requests
  • Identify and resolve minor issues without assistance and ensure that difficult issues get attention from relevant team members
  • Handle administrative tasks for the team such as maintaining project and procedural documentation, scheduling meetings, ordering supplies, and any other tasks necessary to keep projects on track
  • Provide support for all project meetings by creating agendas, taking notes, and following up on action items
  • Maintain regular communication with the Director of Custom Development

Requirements

This is a full-time position in a small, collegial company. Because we are nimble and constantly innovating, our daily work varies. The one thing that doesn’t change is our commitment to radically improving the college course experience for hundreds of thousands of students each year.

The following skills and attributes are required for this position:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2–5 years of administrative or project coordination experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Curiosity and a willingness to ask questions
  • Self-motivated, with exceptional initiative and commitment to excellence
  • Strong technical skills and comfort using development and communication tools such as Word, Google Docs, and Slack
  • A willingness to learn new technologies and incorporate new skills and knowledge into daily work

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience working in undergraduate curriculum development

Compensation and benefits

  • Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience ($20–$35 per hour)
